Tenimenti Luigi d'AlessandroMassimo d’Alessandro and Giuseppe Calabresi, had the idea to allocate a portion  of the historic buildings for the “creation  of a village” dedicated to wine lovers.

Partners since 2007, they have been sharing  a complementary role within the Company. Massimo d’Alessandro, architect and professor of design at La Sapienza University of Rome, was the only family member who invested in the fine wine of Cortona. The first believer in the potential of Val di Chiana terroir, he was instrumental in the development of Syrah vine in Cortona.

After years of art collecting, he founded in Rome Avant-garde gallery in the 70’s.

Giuseppe Calabresi is the entrepreneurial and financial soul of the winery. Shareholder in the Calabresi Transport Co., leader of private transport in Italy, and founder of Ktesios Financing, a consumer credit sector company incorporated in 2006 by Merrill Lynch, he brought great energy and passion in relaunching Tenimenti Luigi d’Alessandro’s brand in the world of wine. As an art collector for many years, together with Massimo d’Alessandro, he also works to bring contemporary art to Cortona.
